I just noticed this tonight. Santiago, Chile has several NY skyscraper "copies". Bizarre. Click the links.

I think the Waldorf/Chrysler pic is a classic! This must have been some sort of development scheme, I can't imagine it was done by accident. Very sophomoric idea.

Awww, that's so cool! *I liked the Sony replica the best, although the Chrysler one is pretty cool.

see, everyone wants to copy off the city that set a world renowned prescident on skyscraper construction. Darn, too bad they do not have copyright laws against buildings, there would be a lot of suing going on there.
