So sad to hear the dreadful news. Rest in peace Robin you brought so much fun and laughter to the world. A true original, a comic genius.

A comic genius; Robin Williams took Jonathan Winters to another level.

His best film roles were in dramas.

A co star said of him years ago that if he had a funny role, he was serious and quiet between takes, and if it was a dramatic one, he was the funny guy everyone loved. This is my favorite dramatic role of his, and I wonder now just how much of himself he put into it.

What a horrible and tragic loss of a supremely talented entertainer. My favorite Williams performance was in Good Will Hunting - I had no idea he could pull a role like that off.

Shame on the Shep Smith for his comments. No one who hasn't lived through severe depression can understand the pain and despair it causes. Than again, I expect nothing less of his likes.

Robin Williams was very much the best standup comic I ever saw.... I never laughed so hard at some of the most brilliant comedic genius material he came up with (the show he did on Broadway in 2002 is just legendary). He was pretty much the WHOLE package as far as comedians go.... Impersonator, self-depricating, lewd, intelligent, improvisations that if you could keep up would bring you so much joy. Ironic that he could not conjure up this joy for himself. Even in serious roles like Awakening, Goodwill Hunting and -one of my all time favorites- Dead Poets Society he demontrated a mastery of emotional expression. Sorely, sorely missed; especially knowing that some other no-talents still roam the earth taking up space thinking they have actually accomplished something when in fact all they did was just come from the right set of gonads.... If Robin could have only fortalized his positive impact on his esteem and happiness he would still be cracking us up for years to come.

Wonder if "God" ever finished his "two jews walk into a bar" joke for him...

Almost every American comic I've loved has gone too soon, Bill Hicks, Mike DeStefano, Robin Williams, what a terrible waste of talent leaving the theatre of comedy so early.
