What's your favorite area mall?

Well my favorite mall in the whole area is Garden State Plaza. Love the layout, atmposphere and food court. However being on Long Island its quite a trip.
Now most people on LI go to Roosevelt Field but that is not my favorite Long Island mall. Roosevelt Field seems to be very congested and I do not like the layout and alot of the stores are expensive. Walt Whitman takes expensive to a new level, and it doesnt even have a food court. Broadway mall? What mall?
I think Sunrise Mall in Massapequa is the best mall. Yeah I know it doesnt have any fancy upscale stores but it has alot of different types of stores, even a Walmart. Also a new food court recently opened, and its the best one on Long Island. They have some different places like KFC, Arthur Treachers and Nathan's, which are absent from most other LI Malls.
And the mall has places for us men to shop, like at Sears there's a good amount of electronics, and so is there at Walmart. Its about time they put Walmart in a mall, they got everything there!
Sunrise mall is the kind of mall I can shop in. And have some great food too. Also its the only mall I know of on Long Island to provide bus schedules at the customer service center.

Mostly I despise malls. I don't have a favorite.

Manhattan doesn't have too many malls, but I'm looking forward to see how the AOL Time Warner center turns out.

Do you remember Sunrise Mall in the eighties. * I lived in Amityville as a child and I have fantastic memories of duck ponds and Shiny Futurististic fountains.

Newport Mall in downtown JC is very nice with light rail and path connections and buses and ferries as well. Great stores excellent food court, and one of the largest Macys's in the area.

I remember Sunrise Mall. Two floors of shopping - it was so futuristic. And, who can forget the Dawn of the Dead (right?) filmed in the mall.

I was always partial to Roosevelt Field. The last mall I visited was the one up in Rockland (Palisades Center). I prefer street shopping.

I also reccomend Jersey Gardens, if you're ever in the neighborhood. It's huge, carpeted (!) and has tons of little seating areas for the weary. Interesting design, too.

Has anyone here ever gone to Short Hills? Fancy.

Short Hills, yes, and Riverside Square in Hackensack is also fancy.
