These are images of Metro Manila, where I'm really from. It's one of those major skyscraper cities that does not get to much attention from the media. Anyway, I would like to hear your opinions about the city and it's skyline! What do you think of our skyline! Please reply!

How come the metro cities aren't just one single municipality?

Some of these cities like Makati, Paranaque, Pasig, etc. were municipalities until they became independent cities. But despite of that, the whole area is called Metro Manila or National Capital Region. If they were one single municipality, it would be too big to manage. Metro Manila, as a whole, is the largest city in South East Asia in terms of urban area and population and it getting bigger and bigger. If it was one single municipality, it would be too big to manage. Before these cities/municipalities were small towns.

There had been alot of skyscraper developments and new business districts planned during the 1990s. Until today there are alot of skyscrapers planned but not as much compared the last decade.

Not alot of people pay too much attention to Metro Manila. That's same with other Asian cities like Seoul, Jakarta and even Pyongyang in terms of skyscrapers. But to me, this is my motherland city and it deserves the international recognition as well.
