Here's my interpretation of how the world's supertall skyscrapers (400m+) would look if they were grouped together into one cluster.

I've chosen Chicago as my location as I always thought the Sears Tower looked a bit lonely up this end of town. All the skyscrapers I've added either exist or are currently under construction. Its interesting to note that 6 of the 7 supertall's shown here are in Asia, what a difference a decade makes!

From left to right they are:

- Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (452m),
- 2 International Finance Centre, Hong Kong, China (412m)
- Sears Tower, Chicago, USA (443m)
- Union Square, Hong Kong, China (480m) currently U/C
- Burj Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (700m+) currently U/C
- Taipai 101, Taipai, Taiwan (508m) currently U/C
- Jin Mao Building, Shanghai, China (421m)

Good job!
The perspective matching is well done.

Too bad they couldn't build them all in one spot! It'd be fabulous. Great picture, but I have to point out an error. I know it wasn't meant to be perfect, but i feel like pointing it out anyway. The Petronas Towers are taller than the Sears Tower and Taipei101. In reality Taipei 101 is much taller than the Petronas Towers and the Sears Tower's roof is taller than the roof of the Petronas Towers. I can't wait until we can put the Freedom Tower in that picture :). And the ESB would be nice.

Is it true that the construction in Dubai has begun? I sure hope not, because if it has then the Freedom Tower may never hold the WTB title.

looks quite amazing, Iarven! Can't imagine the Burj Dubai being so thin. It's very elegant and beautiful but looks like it would topple. The Shanghai World Finance Center would look right at home in that picture. Two thumbs up.

Yes many more could be added to the supertalls in the upcoming year with all the new proposals emerging.

I always wondered what it would be like if you got all of the cities in the world with a considerable skyline and pu them next to each other and make alittle 'country' of skyscrapers. I think I would include,

New York
Chicago
Seattle
Los Angeles
San francisco

frankfurt
toronto
calgary
Sydney
Brisbane
Melbourne

Hong Kong
Dubai
Riyadh ( i like the 2 that they have)
Tokyo

etc...

Then you'd have world peace because the only rivalries would be civic as opposed to military. Another plus :D

Yeah! Peace, Love, harmony!!!

Wouldnt it be great though? a world made of skyscrapers. The veiws from every building would be spectacular!

Add Shanghai, Paris, London, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Cairo, São Paulo and Mexico City.

Ahh, wishful thinking. World peace through skyscraperyness.

The Petronas Towers are the nearest buildings to the viewpoint hence they look taller than both Sears and Taipai 101. Both Taipai 101 and the Sears tower are intended to be about the same distance from the camera so the height comparison between them is fairly realistic. From a viewpoint such as this its virtually impossibe to show each building relative to the other in terms of height, for that you'd need a diagram or a very distant perspective.

To this end my next project is a vista of Chicago with the top 25 tallest buildings in the world added to the skyline. So far I've added about 10 and its looking a treat....watch this space. :)

Add Shanghai, Paris, London, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Cairo, São Paulo and Mexico City.

yeah! but for london only canary wharf and the tower 42 area, and of course the marvellous BT tower..
and for paris, the bits around the grand arch.

It would be just like a dream!!!!

Rent "Babe 2: Pig in the City" (which was actually misunderstood at the box office, and a much better film than it was credited for being).

The City Skyline they created was a bizarre mixture of many of the greatest architectural achievements in the world. It looked cool.
