Hi.
Recently, i have very terrible treat from N.Y. Supermarket, Elmhurst, NY.
I went there on Friday (Jan 30th) evening to buy something from N.Y. Supermarket.
It was so cold outside that time. I parked my car in their parking lot and i went inside to buy a lot. Then after i came back outside to put the stuff i bought. And I wanted to get some bread from coffee shop next to N.Y. Supermarket. So I went there after i put all my things i bought from N.Y. Supermarket. When i come back from the coffee shop, my car was towed. And i was so pissed off that time. Because of the way N.Y. Supermarket treat to me, and also, because of the guy and the lady from tow company (Yankee Mike's Towing, Woodside, NY). The guy from the tow company told me that my car was towed because i didnt' buy anything from the supermarket and i parked the car in their parking lot illegally. I said i bought something already from your store, (not even something, it's a lot). Can't i parked my car? he didnt' listened to me, he just keep on saying my car was towed, if i want i have to call the manager lady. We were arguing with that guy for a moment and i told him, "OK, bring the manager from NY supermarket, and let me speak to him/her" and he said, "there is no manager here".
And i said "Fine, so bring someone who is incharge here and let me speak to him/her", and he said again "there is noone in charge here".
Please think about that, "in the big store like NY Supermarket, is it possible that there is noone in charge in the store during the store hours ?, how can they run the big supermarket ?
And i wanted to get my car back as soon as possible because i had to work on weekends.
I need my car. So that guy from tow company asked me to call his boss (the lady), she is really nasty, she just yelled and yelled, and yelled. It's like i m her slave. She is so rude and nasty (she is from Yankee Mike's Towing Company, Woodside, NY).
When i about to talk to her, she said "I dont' want to hear anything what u said, you have to listen to what i said. but if you want your car back, you have to pay for this, and when you decide to get your car, call me only that time" and she hanged up the phone.
I called her so many time to talk to her, but she just yelled and yelled and hang up the phone. I have never seen that kind of nasty and rude lady (We, OUR NYC not suppose to have this kind of people.)
I have called 311 and also police to solve that problem. Police came and check they problem and officers even said that "The supermarket not suppose to do this kind of thing to customer, it's so frausted." But they are not able to help since because this is not their case.
But i reported to 311 to complain NY Supermarket, Elmhurst, NY and also the tow company (Yankee Mike's Towing company).
After all that i told the guy, "OK i want my car back, i m going to pay". he asked to call that lady again from her tow company.
And she told me that, "The guy from her company has the form (paperwork), sign the form first and then she will tell me the price. I don't understand why they do that. But suddenly what i realize is, "They want me to sign the form and they will call up whatever price they want" because the form is saying something like " i m agree to pay for......". Is that cheating or ..??
So i asked her to tell me the price first then i will sign, she said, "I dont' have the price, you sign and i will tell u, if you want your car you sign it" then she hang up the phone.
But finally, we argue and argue and she gave me the price of $217.75. And the i sign the paper and gave them $217.75 to get my car back.
And one more thing is with the guy from the Tow company. He said his driver is on the way, but when i paid him the money, he said, "his driver will be on the way only when he make a phone call, he was lying to me that his driver is on the way."
He is just bull shitting around, and lying around, and showing his very dishonesty all the time that time.
Finally, I got my car back after i paid of $217.75 to very nasty Tow company (Yankee Mike's Towing Company, Woodside, NY).
There are something that i want to point out.
The Sign Board of their tow company in the parking lot is WRONG (THEY NEVER CHANGED THAT). The address, phone number, are wrong.
As conclusion, i think we shouldn't have that kind of dishonest, nasty, Tow Company, (like Yankee Mike's Towing Company, Woodside, NY) and Irresponsible Supermarket like (N.Y. Supermarket, Elmhurst, NY) which they dont' have no respect to their own customers, in our GREAT NYC.
I hope you guys will not have that kind of problem like me.
