Just curious, where do you take these from?

Low flying helicopter. No, wait, just kidding :D It's from my apartment's window.

Nice pictures! One comment I sometimes hear from tourists who have visited the Empire State Building's observation deck is that, unexpectedly, a flurry of roof activity throughout the city can be seen from there.

Nice photos, But the only thing I don't like about roof tops is that someone may close and lock the door on me and there will be no way for me to get back inside. Short of having a cell phone to call for help, I would have to jump off the roof, but my bones may not like it.
Have a nice day all.

Just to let you know Edward, and I know these pictures were posted a while back, but I'm completely jealous of your view.
Anyone have recent pictures of people on their roofs after the nice weather NYC has been having?

Not residential, but still roofs.
Can someone identify where this is, please (I know it'll be obvious once I know).
Thanks for the link, Benniest.

^Looking south down 8th Avenue from West 21st Street. The highest crane in the distance (center) is atop the infamous Trump Soho. The patch of green where 8th Avenue vanishes into the background is Abington Square, visible just to the left of the huge former Port Authority Building.

Thanks very much for the info, MK. Mmm, maybe not so obvious, though (to me). I wouldn't have picked it. I was trying to work out what that tall building on the left is as a reference point.
