I know I say this in every thread but really, I apologize for the quality. Due to my not remembering the camera had reset when it was without batteries for a while, I didn't change the quality setting from default. So these are half the normal quality. Re: the smudge, it's not on the lens, lens cleaner and a guy at J&R couldn't fix it; it's probably under the glass covering the lens. Someone needs to take it apart a bit.

Seven World Trade Center - posted in the official 7WTC thread also

Liberty Plaza (10 Liberty Street) - really, really dull

2 Gold Street - better than what I expected, though I still don't like the east face

North

Northeast

http://galleries.soaringtowers.org/albums/album47/2gold4.sized.jpg

East - Malhotra has treated this as the "back side" - I can see there wasn't too much effort put into aesthetics here. Some of the few good things are the window columns, which actually break it up pretty well and about half make up for the rest of the facade. If this is the same facade to the top, it won't exactly be pleasing on the East River skyline...

Southeast

http://galleries.soaringtowers.org/albums/album47/2gold6.sized.jpg

South. A little bit of the base pokes out at the bottom. The base has no distinctive features and is basically a longer continuation of the tower. I can't say anything about the first two floors yet, they haven't been clad.

http://galleries.soaringtowers.org/albums/album47/2gold7.sized.jpg

Southwest - I really like the "main face" of the tower, the arrangement of glass and balconies makes it different for this part of Manhattan and nice to look at. Too bad this is a yucky shot.

The entrance to the garage is under the preserved facade of an old attached building

Great downtown update. I like that fish pond - that whole area is really very nice. The red building is the Potter Building, I think. The sculpted details are eye-catching. I really like that Federal Reserve Bank, it's not often in sunlight as in your photo. Liberty Street has a good variety of architecture.

Nice shots!!! I love to see the city with its amazing views.

Peering up the tunnel in the cube shot is cool with a reflection of what building?

I also need to check out the winter garden with its expensive automobiles. Thanks for the hint.

Your not allowed to take pictures of any public buildings, especially profile buildings and landmarks. This is an innacuracy in Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11. But while taking pictures is suspicious overrall this fed into another aspect that the paranoia surrounding terrorism is completly blown out of proportion.

Nice collection.

As for the smudge, see if you can spin the glass a bit, and use a flashlight to see if it is indeed a lens problem.

If you are using a digital (which i am guessing by you saying the quality settings are lowered) it could also be the sensor grid.

Hope you find the reason! And keep taking shots!
