A friend of mine and me are planning a trip to NYC. Since hotels cost around $200 per night, we kinda chose to stay at hostels(which cost $12 a night).
I want to know New Yorker's opinions about those hostels. I want someplace just to sleep at night.
It was suggested to me a hostel at W30th St.
What do you think?

Umm.... not all hostels cost $12 a night, and certainly none in NYC.
I would recommend this website: http://hostels.com/
They have ratings, reviews, and online booking for a large selection of NYC hostels.

YMCA's are a good alternative. A bit more expensive, but you get privacy.

nah nah nah
Look to the West Side inn on 107th or the Morningside inn.
Shared bathrooms basic but clean and safe $80-90 a night next to Broadway and subway . It's all you need. How about the HOJO
Howard Johnson on Boston road and east Tremont! HA 75 a night including girls you need in the beautiful surrounding! Good luck enjoy your NYC experience.
