My friend is looking to stay in the city from september to december and is looking for a sublet...it can be a studio or a share...
She is 28, from Venezuela and is coming to finish a Masters in the College of New Jersey.
Preferably in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Thanks

Brooklyn maybe, Manhattan unlikely for that price especially now with vacancy rates less than 2%.

Well, you might be able to find some pretty small studios in the UES for just above 1000.

CofNJ in Ewing, NJ, right? Is she going to commute there? If so, she would want to be near Penn Station, in order to take NJ transit non-stop, probably to Trenton. Look for a place in Hell's Kitchen.

I would also reccomend Jersey City.
I knoe, it is NJ!! (THE HORROR!!!) But despite the stigma, there are some nice areas. It is cheaper, and the transportation to NY is VERY convenient in certain locations near the Path Train.
