I need some advice or any possible leads in finding an apartment in Manhattan…I have come to realize that this is a very daunting task and is getting very frustrating.
Basically I am looking for an updated 1 Bedroom or a Studio with a decent kitchen, for myself, anywhere between Central Park and Canal Street. My budget is anything under $1,500 and I would prefer not to pay a broker fee. I also need to find a place before October 1st. Is it possible to find a place within these constraints? I have been searching for more than a month now and I have found nothing! I have searched with and without brokers, using Craig’s List as my major research tool. Everything I find is either a dilapidated mess or is in a horrible noisy area.
Should I be focusing my search in any specific areas or is what I am looking for not out there? Are there any other resources out there?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
