Yeah this one came out of nowhere. I like the decision to set back the boundaries while keeping the center portion flush with the facade line of neighboring buildings.

Thanks for the updates skylimitone. At least the site was just a parking lot - but still, another lousy building.

The Livingston side is up to about 19 stories. DOB filings (filed under 236 Livingston) indicate that it is going up to 26 total.

There's some crazy transfer beam action visible from the Schermerhorn side on the back of the building, about 2/3 of the way up. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture.

Brick cladding has begun on the lower floors. They're cladding the floorplates too, which is a step above the usual (cough - Avalon) dreck. It looks somewhat promising, actually.

Whatever the architectural merits of this one or lack thereof, the residents in the area will be a big plus.

Assuming anyone ever moves in. be@schermerhorn has looked done for months, and I don't think anyone has moved in.

This project is actually 2 towers - one on Schem, one on Liv.

agreed. though it looks like the be@schermerhorn listings have been taken down -- switching marketing teams or going rental?

There was a time when Thomas O'Hara was the most hated man on this forum- then Gene Kaufman stole all the thunder.

Unfortunately O'Hara didnt disappear.
