Atleast they're not designing as much as they use to it seems...SLCE seems to have taken over.
Anyway, this building blocks like 20 stories of windows of the high-rise next to it.

Dueling High-Rises Update: Keep Your Receipts
Yesterday's NYT City Section follows up on a Curbed item from a few weeks back concerning a new luxury apartment tower on East 79th Street that's blocking the views of another luxury apartment tower. Oh, the humanity: ""When we moved in, we had custom-made shades made for our living room," says one resident of the afflicted tower. "Now we're going to have to look for pictures to put on our walls where the windows were."

Yeah, that's pretty awful. Something similar happened in Brooklyn at Kings Highway and Ocean Parkway; a 5 storey building was put up right against an apartment building, smushing 1 and a half lines of windows. Obviously the Arcadia problem is much more serious.

This is by my parents' home. It's pretty much topped out, I think.
