If you've ever seen any of the "Visions" series on PBS you know how high-quality they are. An entire program of aerial photography is right up my alley.

Well, they're broadcasting one of NY starting tonight on 21.

JMGarcia is right . . the VISIONS series offers some great aerial photography. But, please, also take ZippytheChimp's advice and mute the sound. During pledge weeks, WLIW-21 often runs the Visions series on Saturday afternoon. It's great eye-candy as I go through paper work and throw stuff out. IMO, the aerials of Greece, Italy, Sicily, and Provence are more successful (however, mute's still the word). I was disappointed that viewers were not given an all-inclusive flyover of all five boroughs with a little of Long Island and New Jersey too. Not to be unkind (as I live here now), but the tour was more how a Long Islander perceives the City rather than a true NYC feel. It covered the major landmarks (some several times) yet held few surprises. Even the night scenes were not as brilliant as I had hoped. Nice. but not twice.
