Wednesday, December 08, 2004 - The Windsor at Forest Hills, a 21-story luxury tower at 108-24 71st Street, has sold more than 45% of its 95 units in its first month. The Windsor was Developed by Cord Meyer Development and designed by Ismael Levya Architects. The residences, range from 615 to 1,752 sf. The project is being marketed under the supervision of Jackie Urgo of the Marketing Directors. I think it's about 15 min to midtown.

The towers in Forest Hills are a notch above others in Queens.

Depend on what side of the "tracks" you are on.

If you are in the old section FH is VERY nice.

But once you cross over the LIRR, you get into the realm of Queens Boulevard. It reminds me a lot of the town centers in NJ, like Teaneck, Bergenfield and the like. A lot of 1960's glass and aluminum 1-2 story constructions with no real appeal.


The towers themselves look interesting, and better than areas nearby like Kew, but they also look like low-ceiling modern "space saver" apartments that try to fit about as much in as regulation will allow.


We will see though...
