We're staying three nights in New York on our way to Miami.
While in NY, I would like to go shopping for an MP3 player, preferably an Iriver H10 (5 or 6 GB).
Where am I most likely to find the best bargain deals?
I have bookmarked J&R Electronics down at City Hall. Are there any other places I should visit before deciding who has the best deal in town?

There are also some cheap stores I believe on Fifth Avenue below 42nd street and above 23rd.

But as with Law and Order, it is hard to tell what are cheap stores nowadays as prices are already nuts in the City. Also if you want an unopened electronic namebrand item then often times it is hard to get something marked down too much.

Thanks, guys.
Are you saying that New York in general is expensive, and that I might be better off waiting until I get to Florida before I go shopping for an MP3 player? We have already decided to pay a large mall down there a visit (http://www.shopdolphinmall.com/).

Well, gotta run, our flight for Newark leaves in a couple of hours!
I will check back on this forum as soon as we're settled in our hotel room.

Times Square I will check, along with 5. Ave between 23rd and 42nd!

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
Christopher
