As much of French, bryant park is my preferred park, surely because it is the only french garden (the small garden of Luxembourg). True an oasis in the big city

Nice pictures - thanks for sharing with us :) I think Bryant Park is the best park in Manhattan. I like to see pictures from there.

Me to, I think Bryant Park is the best park in Manhattan
for me it is an oasis in Manhattan. To drink a capuccino while reading a book in bryant park, a pure moment of delight.

Thanks for these photos of our urban oasis, Bryant Park. It truly is a little paradise in Midtown. And the history...the Reservoir, the Crystal Palace...
And what a turnarond Bryant Park has made over the last ten to fifteen years.

^^^Panorama above: IMO the new building on Madison, while bad, doesnīt detract from the view as much as the truly awful skinny tower in front of it.
This is the view where the Republic National Bank building works beautifully: thatīs good, honest, modern architecture.
For me, that post-modern tower with the crown is cringe worthy...and looks especially goofy in-between those 2 towers that are the "real thing". A 30īs style crown, with a huge, expansive bay-window underneath...McMansion architecture.
-----------------
Does any one here remember Bryant Park in the 1970īs? It was so bad I think it was completely closed off for a while. And around the corner....the Library steps....OMG....it hardcore homeless and people on-leave from mental institutions.

I like the three pyramids receding in perspective. (Two are truncated.)
