View Full Version : 431 Avenue P..........Holy Mackrel!

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but take a look at this site www.431avenuep.com (http://www.431avenuep.com) This is absolutely amazing. Especially the interiors. It's better than most other developments being built around Brooklyn. There's nothing there yet at that location, its an empty lot with a billboard. From the other pictures on the website, it looks like it's going to be called "The Grand Toledo.":)

Oh no... is this for real? Click on the website.... the interiors!!

It looks like sets from the Bagdad production of Hello Dolly!

How'd they get by with that wheelchair ramp; it doesn't meet code?

E 3rd St.

That rendering makes it look like a catering hall in a suburban parking lot.

Did a mob-owned casino barge go aground in Sheepshead Bay?

Yes, that ramp looks way too narrow. The slope might be correct (if I remember the formula correctly from taking the ARE ).

And yes, the architecture is gory but it's a break from the dullness of the other developments. It's just one new big piece of brooklyn eye-candy.

I really like it, I mean come on, the whole light brick/tiny balcony/over hanging airconditioner/pointed roofs (^__^__^)/overall uglyness that all new residentials have in Brooklyn is getting a little old....no?

What is going on with the roof? It has a Chinese pagoda thing happening. And what are those black objects up there? They look like pidgeons posing for the camera.

Iīm still recovering from those interior shots...I didnīt think this particular brand of kitschy "all-you-can-eat" opulent bad taste existed anymore. This is the Catskills circa 1974.

They look like those fake owls   that are supposed to keep the pidgeons away.

What's with the chairs? If these were photographs, I'd say the chairs were borrowed from a dentist's waiting room.

Hey, wait a minute....look at the view outside the bedroom window....what's that across the street????? More of the same but even bigger????

This will certainly be the first residential building in New York to promote a view of Quebec City.

I saw a rendering on the site about a year ago with something similar. I dunno how to describe this one. I think I'll go with "wtf?"

That said, if it's really done to the renderings it will be pretty impressive. And certainly unique here.
