Hi everybody. I have a little request. Everyone of us knows that NYC is called the Big Apple. And I want you to write some more metaphors and associations with NYC. If you as Ney Yorkers expressed some opinions about where you live, I'd be very grateful. Thank you in advance :)

That was true back in the 70s / 80s ... but it might have had something to do with all the coke ;)

O Henry referred to New York as "Baghdad on the Subway" back in the early part of the twentieth century.

I've never even heard anyone call it the Big Apple. That's such a queer name.
