The Never Ending Story Movie

Ok so I was looking to buy a DVD for my nephew and I came upon the DVD for this movie. I know I love the film and I will do as much as I can to watch it every time it will air on TV. But I never own the movie. So I bought it.

This is one of my favorite movies... and I have been watching the movie non-stop since I took it home. A good movie with a cool 80's soundtrack. :cool:

It was about 20 years ago that I saw The Never Ending Story at the movie theaters... :) I was about 9 and I related so much to the character of Bastian. I love Atreyu and Falkor in the movie. Oh I still cry when Atreyu lost his horse Artax on the Swamps of Sadness.


Plot:

The movie is based on Bastian, 10, who runs and hides in a bookstore from bullies. While at the bookstore, he comes upon a Book 'The Never ending Story'. Bastian takes the book and goes to the school attic to read it. There he discovers Fantasia. A world of human fantasy, fill with imaginative creatures and superb beauty. But Fantasia is being destroyed by a terrible dark force called the "Nothing." Bastian then follows a young warrior, Atreyu, on his many adventures. At the end, Bastian realizes that he is the one that can only save Fantasia.

Kool flik, but undeniably silly at times.

And definitely a youngster flik in who it was trying to address....


I would put it in the same category as Nymh(sp).

Worth seeing and reminiscing about.

Shoot, I crossed the animation thing with the mice with the movie I was thinking about.

The Wrong movie is "The Secret of Nimh".

the right one is "The Dark Crystal"
