This hotel boasts wonderful amenities and rooms, but it was horrid. The hotel is half way open, and apparently undergoing a renovation. I use the term renovation loosely because I was told I had a renovated room - well, it was filthy, uncomfortable and the furniture resembled a dump. Go elsewhere, anywhere but here!

I stayed at this hotel in:

September, 2005

My ratings for this hotel are:

I traveled to this hotel with: family members

I recommend this hotel for: students, budget travelers, pet owners

My visit was for: out-of-town getaway

Would I stay at this location again: no way!

Definitely the wrong choice.

Still time to switch hotel reservations!

BTW, last time I looked, there was something wrong with TripAdvisor's ranking system.

Try the Beacon and negotiate for a low price.

duke of ellinghton road

I like the sound of this better than 106th St or Duke Ellington Blvd.

Until Czsz posted, I had no idea that that was in reference to. That's funny.

I wouldn't go rushing to change reservations yet. Hotels are wildly expensive around that time, and you hopefully you won't be in the hotel very much at all.

I doubt a hotel in that area would have a restaurant, but you'll only need to walk a few blocks to find one. Spend $2 on a bagel and piece of fruit and you'll have your own continental breakfast right from the deli.
