Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Williamsburg: nice for different reasons.

What sort of neighborhood are you looking for? A quiet place, or an area with lots of things to do? We could be more helpful if we had a bit more information.

I am starting a residency program in NY and will have to move there sometime around June 2006. I am looking for an apartment that measures atleast 1100 sf with a nice kitchen (granite countertops, stainless steel appliances) and bathroom (marble). I am willing to live in an area that is located no more than 30 minutes away from brooklyn on the train.

Which train will you need to take in Brooklyn? That's generally a good way to start narrowing things down.
