Hey guys im new to this forum, but I feel i will be a true regular here soon :)

Anyway Im coming im town this wednesday for an interview and need some advise on getting from the airport (JFK) to the city w/o paying a left leg for the taxi. I came to town a few weeks back when we had that last hurricane here in Tampa and I payed 60$ for a taxi ride from Newark airport to the battery park area...

Well this trip I dont want to spend so much just on a ride from the airport...

I was told there is a bus that runs from the airport to the city, and since Im coming in at 10:30 this time i think I would like to try this route... Just want to make sure its a viable alternative...

Cassio- I'm sorry I can't address your question, but your post intrigued me, as I live in Tampa too and am seriously considering/researching a move from Tampa to NYC. Would you mind me asking what job market you are interviewing for in the city? I work in the insurance industry and am trying to get an idea of what the insurance industry is like in NYC and have had little success w/anyone else in this forum re: this.

Take the AirTrain, easy. Then get on the A at Howard Beach. It's faster than a bus anyway, not to mention cheaper.
