I am glad I found this web site, I have been looking for something like this.

I will be visiting New York City for the New Years holiday. I will be staying at the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square. Any replies to these questions would be helpful.

The closer to the location I am staying the better but I will take a cab to a really great place that is not real close.

1. What are some good places to see live heavy metal and punk music?

2. What are some good bars as far as: a) atmosphere, b) quality tail (female), c) prices

3. What are some good places to eat? a) great food, b) cheap prices, c) Chinese, d) pizza

4. What/where would be a good place to do/go and party for New Years Eve?

5. What would be some cool places to visit.

6. Where I am from, scalping is permitted as long as it is a certain distance from the arena of the event. If I chose to go to the New Years Day Jets game, would I be able to buy tickets from a scalper near Giants Stadium without risk of getting arrested or should I get tickets off of eBay or Stubhub before I come?

7. Any general advice not asked by me that you guys feel would be useful.

Thank you in advance, I figure the locals such as yourselves would be a lot more helpful than any tourist brochures.

The best quality female tail I've ever seen is at a place called Cattyshack on 4th ave in Park Slope.

If you don't want to go all the way to Brooklyn to bag chicks, try Henrietta Hudson on the corner of Hudson and Morton in the West Village.

I had my suspicions, so through the power of Google I confirmed them. No hard feelings, I would have done the same thing myself to you guys and I guess I set myself up with the "quality tail" thing. In the same spirit of things, if you are ever in Huntsville Alabama I would suggest going to "Upscale" on Golf Road or "Oz" on North Memorial Parkway. :D

Although from considering the prices of alcohol in NYC that I read here, maybe going to those places and letting the patrons buy me a few free drinks would be a way to save money.:p

Seriously though, I would really like to have some good New York Pizza and some good Chinese food, any places you guys would suggest?

I do plan on going to CBGB's, but are there any other good places to see any local heavy metal or real punk rock music?

You should really search the forum before asking such simple questions. You might avoid some sarcasm that way, though I stand behind my recommendation for cattyshack.

Darn, I was going to suggest Meow Mix at Houston and Suffolk. :D

From prime rib to quality tail.

You'd be sending him on a wild Prime Rib Beef chase, TLOZ. I'm pretty sure that place closed years ago. It probably did have the best-looking girls, though.

It was still open last year. I was with some friends, and we were trying to find the subway, so when we went in to ask for directions (we were all guys), the bouncer said that we couldn't come in without a female companion. Might have closed since then, who knows?

I've heard both definitely closed, and moved to a new location - or possibly new location in the works. I really don't spend enough time chasing female tail to keep current on this scene.

Evil!

When I first started working here, I misread the awning and thought it really said "Bar and Gril".

I was thinking of visiting there and checking it out. I later overheard some guys talking about it in the office, and I have recently heard about how they treat single male "patrons" there.....

Glad I did not try... ;)
