Hiya

I'll be in New York on 31st December for 1 week and I was thinking about going to Times Square for New Year. Im staying in a hotel 1/2 a block away and wondered if i was to use their restrooms would i get back into my place.

If not what are you expected to do?

Also, I am looking for some good nightclubs and bars to go to and also wondered what the dress code.

Also does anyone have any photos w 44th st at the millenium broadway as this is were we're staying.
Also does anyone have any pictures featuring w 44th st, and the millenium broadway as this is were we're staying. (different one's to whats usually shown on the websites).

Lastly, is there a law against drinking in the street in New York?

If you can help thanks

New Years Eve at Times Square info:
http://www.timessquare.com/holiday/newyears_2005/

There will be no public restroom facilities.
If you leave your spot for any reason, you will not be able to get back.
If not what are you expected to do?Answer

Drinking alcohol is not allowed on the streets of New York.

Ditto scotslass, there is a group of us coming over on the 28th for a week.

Couple of questions, for New Year we are thinking about going to a club to celebrate as already been told to steer clear of Times Square, any recommendations? We have a list but just want to see if they match.

Also, how easy is it to get basketball tickets for the game on the 2nd Jan?

And if you are wearing a kilt all the time, does every stop you and ask for photos?

Don't know, but don't let that stop you!

NYC needs more kilts

I once saw the Energizer Bunny get off a bus and walk into a pizza place without anyone barely turning a head. There are so many oddball sights on the city streets, you might be amazed how many people are actually UNfazed by someone wearing a kilt.

Though you may well freeze your ass off, I'd say wear it without hesitation.

lol...the energizer bunny? And the fact that no one even batted an eyelid is funny. Could have been a celebrity out for a daily rendezvous!:D
