christmas day dining

Hi, we are a couple from Glasgow, Scotland who are vacationing in New York, midtown area over the christmas weekend, we are looking for any advide on what restaurants may be open on christmas day, and some guidance on good quality venue's we are not that keen on seafood, steakhouse or Italian are fine, any hints would be great, thanks

I'm pretty certain that restaurants are open on Christmas; I can't see why not.

Do you like Chinese? Go to Chinatown. They'll definitely be open.

Thanks its just that Glasgow grinds to a halt xmas day, so good to know that we will have a choice of dining, cheers all the best.
