Hello,

I'm going to New York City in march 2006 and I was wondering if you could help me answer these questions:

How is the price level in NYC?
How much pocketmoney would you recommend that I take with me?

I'm from Denmark and I have no clue whatsoever how the prices are in NYC, I'm used to travelling to London and Barcelona and it's my first trip to The United States.

So I would be grateful if you can help me :)

Yours sincerly

You'll find atm's almost everywhere you go, so there's no reason to carry more than $80 in cash at any given time unless you're shopping on the street or going to dinner - many NYC restaurants are cash-only, so check before you go. You'll see a Visa (or similar) sticker on the door, or you can ask the host.
