How easy will it be to get tickets for the Knicks game on the 2nd Jan. We've tried going through ticketmaster but we are only getting tickets for the 4th floor which sucks.

Is it recommended to get outside the venue?

I am not from New York but I am going there for New Years and here is my suggestion for tickets, especially if you want good seats. Try eBay first and Stubhub.com as a last resort(they are usually higher priced than eBay).

I wanted Jets tickets for New Years Day and I bought 4 good lower level Jets tickets with a face value of $70 a piece for $29 a piece on eBay. Of course the fact that the Jets are having a bad year and it is a meaningless game against another bad team is probably the reason I got them so cheap.
