FOURTH ANNUAL TOUR OF NEW AND OLD WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT IN LOWER MANHATTAN: ALONG THE WATER’S EDGE

Celebrate the rich waterfront history and the new cultural attractions floating to the surface in Lower Manhattan.

Sites along the way include the Winter Garden, historic Pier A, the Battery, Castle Clinton, the Battery Maritime Building (the gateway to Governors Island), South St. Seaport, the former Fulton Fish Market and more.

Leader: Carter Craft, Director of the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance, a project of the MAS.

Meet at the ferry terminal at the World Financial Center, located by the Hudson River at the World Financial Center Plaza in Battery Park City.

The World Financial Center is bordered by West Street, the Hudson River, Vesey and Liberty Streets.

Transit:

A, C, 2, 3, 4, 5 trains to Fulton St./Broadway-Nassau - Exit onto Fulton St. and walk west to Church St., turn right and walk to Vesey St., turn left and continue across West St. to the WFC

E train to World Trade Center -Exit onto Church St. and walk north to Vesey St., turn left and continue across West St. to the WFC.

R train to City Hall - Exit onto Broadway and walk south to Vesey St., turn right and continue to the WFC;

1 train to Rector St. - Exit onto Greenwich St. and walk north to Liberty St., turn left and continue to the WFC; PATH to World Trade Center - Exit onto Church St. and walk north to Vesey St., turn left and walk across West St. to the WFC.
