News from "Maggie's Garden"

I heard today from Will at NYRP that Maggie will have the Garden open this weekend ...

Saturday 4.22 from 2 PM - 5PM
Sunday 4.23 from 11 AM - 2PM and then again from 5PM - 7PM (she needs the afternoon break to go home and watch the Yankees!).

Weather forecast for Saturday 4.22 is chilly with lots of rain -- so take that into consideration.

PLANTING DAY for JB is this Saturday, May 13 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.

The word from NYRP is that they will supply all the necessary tools including gloves -- but if you have your own favorite Gardening gloves feel free to bring them along.

Just be prepared to do some work -- and get a little dirty ;) .

NYRP will also be supplying refreshments to keep us stong and going.

Just as we gathered for a group photo around the newly-planted Mountain Silverbell flowering tree the fog cleared and the sun came out !!

Brian Sahd had told me that most everything planted in the community gardens are chosen because they are hardy species in this climate. So, if if you have a garden or planting area, these plants should all thrive.
