In 1920, Charles Sheeler works with the photographer Paul Strand.
To two, they make a film of dumb short film in black and white Manhatta heading.
This six minute old film, strewn with texts of Walt Whitman, tells the day of the employees new-yorkais.
This film can appear quite insipid to us today, and its poor technical qualities do not arrange anything. Old man of 86 years, it nevertheless is regarded as very first American film of avant-garde. He will make date, will inspire many other artists
