This should be on the Questions and Answers board.

Most of your questions, can be easily answered by a simple Google search. A search of "NYC parking maps" turned up this, amongst other things:

I was hoping to get information from a human who experienced parking in the area I asked about. With all due respect, isn't that what a forum is for - as opposed to a search engine.

Sure I can google it, but I will get information based on what a software spider found. I would rather get information based on a human beings eyes and ears and from someone who actually lives, works and maybe parks there.

I appreciate the suggestion anyway, but I was seeking the human experience not the software robot spider crawling results.

Sincerely,
Joe

Good point and here is the real answer:

http://gmcpark.com/ - they have a whole bunch of parking locations in New York. You can call a local garage and get a good rate if you park long term. Also, if you park your car long term (on a monthly basis), you won't have to pay the 10% parking tax. You have to fill out the application and send it to the city.

Icon Parking is the largest parking company in Manhattan. You can also find the garage nearest your location, call them and and find out what is the best deal you can get for that garage:

http://www.iconparking.com/

Another option: go to Yahoo Yellow Pages http://yp.yahoo.com
Enter the address you're interested in
Search for parking. You will get parking lots in the area. Call them one by one and get the best rate.

I did just that in my area.

Look for a side walk with a beautiful parking space, pop in a few quaters and relax.
