I am a consultant and pretty much fly out and into LGA almost every week. Currently I have been renting in Astoria, but now I am planning on buying a place in Manhattan.

I wanted to find out from the Freq Flyers where would you say is the best area to live to get to the airport. Thinks that are important are

1) Frequency of Cabs on monday 5am
2) Least Traffic to make it out of manhattan
3) Traffic coming into Manhattan thursday evenings

As off this moment my preffered area is 10s-30s on the East Side, but having a quick morning commute is very important to me.

Thanks...

I'd go with Turtle Bay or Sutton Place, but that's just me. Which neighborhood will you be commuting to?

UES is also good, 80s 90s. Plenty of cabs at 5:00 am and 15 minutes or less to LGA via Triborough Bridge. Thursday evening, coming in about 30 minutes the most...

I'm a little biased being an East Midtown resident, but I'd second Turtle Bay/Sutton Place/Beekman Place area.

There are tons of cabs going up 1st Avenue at 5AM anyday.
