I should be punished.
I have ignored my blog,for no real reason,and have left it blank for way too long.There is no excuse anymore,not boredom nor ennui,not even laziness.
I don't know why,exactly,except that I tend to have interests that grow strong then fade.Take travel,for example.
A few years ago I traveled my ass off.It became almost obsessive.I'd return from one trip and rush off somewhere else.In a few months time,I had driven and/or flown to Panama City,Indianapolis,Miami ...

I haven't been here in awhile,mostly because I have had nothing that is very New York oriented to discuss.My last trip to the City was a year ago,so I have nothing fresh.
I visit this site a lot,trolling,but haven't felt compelled to post much.

I guess that's because my internet discussions are so specialized.I tend to compartmentalize,posting car-related things on car sites,movie-related stuff on--wait for it--movie sites,etc.At times I'll cross-pollinate,writing car stuff ...

Well,I've been remarkably unfaithful to my December blog.Actually,I have avoided posting things anywhere,due to the convergence of several time-consuming events that happened this month.
In Sept,my daughter had a baby,and I have fallen hopelessly in love with the little one since,driving the 90 miles down to St Pete about a half-dozen times this month.There were also two 700-mile roundtrips to SW Florida to visit friends and family and tend to a vexing legal problem,and of course,a third ...

It all happens slowly.
