Its 2 Am (9 PM in NYC), and i'm tired and bored - and still over 6 hours until i finish.

I've spent the last 2 hours surfing the web (it's quiet tonight here), sifting through Wikipedia and reading through various threads on WNY.

I've drunk about 8 cups of coffee.

I've read through a couple of newspapers, (but won't start reading my book, as it may make me feel even more tired). I've completed 2 sudoku puzzles.

I've even spent an hour tidying up one of the storerooms on the ward.

And now i'm writing this blog, which has killed another 10 minutes.

I was thinking of writing something particularly controversial / political, but thought bland was probably better.

The thought that in just over 6 hours i'm free is the only thing keeping me going, that and the fact that this is also paying for my holiday in 8 weeks:).

Oh well, time for another coffee i guess.

The other day i took a two hour train journey. Sitting opposite me was a very overweight man, about 50 years old. He must have weighed about 30 stone - he was so big he took up 2 seats.

During the jouney, he ate constantly, drank about 4 cans of coke and spilt most of the contents of another can across the table which mostly ran onto my lap (he didn't even say sorry). When he wasn't eating he was sleeping, and snoring so loudly i could hear him over the music playing on my ipod.

Am i alone in thinking this type of person should pay (at least) a double fare on public transport? After all, he took up 2 seats on a crowded train. And why stop at public transport - how about making them pay double for everything? Why should i pay the same as a person who weighs more than twice as much as me? Just think of all the revenue that could be made from this.

The funniest thing was when we got to his stop, it took him so long to get up he nearly missed getting off the train altogether. After sitting with a wet lap for an hour, that would have made my day.

Not only did i have to deal with these two deaths, but i also had top criss cross the country several times to arrange the funeral. Due to a family argument it was all left to me, the youngest grandson.

All i can say is thank god its March - i can put all of this crap behind me and move on.

One silver lining, my gran left me enough money to realise one of my dreams - i'm going on Safari next January. If i can get through the next few months of course.....
