An undesirable travel companion.

The other day i took a two hour train journey. Sitting opposite me was a very overweight man, about 50 years old. He must have weighed about 30 stone - he was so big he took up 2 seats.

During the jouney, he ate constantly, drank about 4 cans of coke and spilt most of the contents of another can across the table which mostly ran onto my lap (he didn't even say sorry). When he wasn't eating he was sleeping, and snoring so loudly i could hear him over the music playing on my ipod.

Am i alone in thinking this type of person should pay (at least) a double fare on public transport? After all, he took up 2 seats on a crowded train. And why stop at public transport - how about making them pay double for everything? Why should i pay the same as a person who weighs more than twice as much as me? Just think of all the revenue that could be made from this.

The funniest thing was when we got to his stop, it took him so long to get up he nearly missed getting off the train altogether. After sitting with a wet lap for an hour, that would have made my day.
