What is that, an inch now?
On a sunny day the pools will look really nice.
is the water flowing right now or just a pressure test?.. i see what looks like white foam around the perimeter.
Great shot. What are those squares surrounding the central void? Are they related to drainage, or maybe lighting of some sort?
Uh...the water is about so close to falling over the edge this morning.
Wow! Looks like a test run :D
Web Cam
Looks like rainwater to me.
The parapet is 8 inches high, looks like the water is at least 4 inches deep. We didn't get 4 inches of rain. I think its a water proofing test.

Now it's full up to the top, 8 inches. That would be 2 months worth of rain. It must be a test.
PS: Thats about 624 tons of water in that there pool.
I noticed that the parapets outlining the footprints take into account the chamfered corners of the original towers. A small detail, but a nice touch.

Video: Tour of Memorial and Museum
^Nice interview. Also took a look at the web cam, nighttime. Can't wait til they light up the pools. Saw another video tour on Fox5 a few weeks ago, & they actually went under the pools, which I was surprised to see are giant tanks. Showed portions of what will be in the memorial museum, like the survivor staircase.
One of the guys in the video was wearing the '93 bombing date on his hat. Will there also be a memorial for those people? I figure there will be, but I just didn't feel like flipping back thru 220 pages on this thread.
the memorial includes all the victims of the 1993 attack.
