According to today's WSJ, the gas station at 10th and 24th will be redeveloped. It's "Schvo-time"!
P.S.: I wonder why the media gives that putz so much publicity.

Thanks, Lofter. It looks nice.
This is great news.
I hope that our next mayor is committed to aesthetics like Bloomberg is. I remember Schumer stated that the Hudson Blvd should be cancelled. We need to avoid that mentality...
Is that on the Centre St side? I walked by there the other day and missed it.
PS: that tower urgently needs a new facade.
That was Kaufman's most absurd POS. We dodged a bullet.
The "swirl" reminds me of the cunnilngus episode of Seinfeld. Gerry stole the swirl from Puddy, and George stole it from Gerry.
How sad. Our city is f..cked up.
100 Church and the building next door are horrible eyesores.
I hoped that this dumpy structure would be razed. Hopefully, the facade will be stripped and redone nicely.
This is good news.
Wow! This is rising sooner than I expected. Hopefully, the Jeanne Gang building will rise soon too.
Great news. This building is magnificent.
Thanks for the tip, Stache. I missed that. Brazilian "cherry" does sound titillating. I'd like to pop it!
Actually, I would landmark the overwhelming majority of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Hopefully, the 1960s POS across the street will come down soon.
I agree. This will be the greatest building constructed in NY since the ESB.
Windows like that would have been nice on CIM's stick.
Wow! Great news!
Irish: Do you have any news?
I suspect that it will look even lamer than that.
It's very sad to replace that nice structure -- period -- let alone with a hideous Kaufman.
I hope not too.
In all fairness to the mayor, he tried to do this, but Sheldon, The Huge Putz," Silver and others blocked him. NY should have a massive congestion charge, but it will never happen because "the poor"...
Lightstone is poised to raze around 5 beautiful buildings at Fulton and Dutch. It's quite sad.
Beautiful photos. This is one of my favorite areas.
But it's still an improvement over the current conditions.
