Some of the most terrible calls I've seen of late. Swisher clearly out on the pickoff move....so they do a make-up call and say he tagged too early. I was actually okay with that. Cano's bone head...
Mets bitterness aside, the micro-managing done by Girardi finally came back to bite him in the ass. What an unnecessary and unfounded move to put in Aceves. Zip is right- he's hoping these groundless...

Yea, impressive Buff. Even if it's not the final rendering, I think it'll probably be close to what we end up with.
I was thinking, just because it's two towers doesn't mean it's 2 identical...
I really liked the bayed design. This will be perfectly boring, exactly what the neighborhood was looking for.
Comparing the proposed addition to a fedders box is extreme and way off. I see high quality brick/windows, no balconies with hideous railings, and a nice way of meeting the street.
Everyone here...
^Sounds like the rigid guidelines we saw in BPC. Trade in brick for gray/blue glass. What's the retail like in Vancouver?
How is that economical for a developer when he could build a 65 story tower instead? I don't think this building deserved landmark status as is...it's very clumsy looking and well, very under built.

^I feel the same way, but am leaning towards preservation to prevent the ungainly proposal from seeing the light of day.
^I gotcha.
Fabrizio- wouldn't that situation encourage abuse by those looking to get painkillers for recreational use? No id necessary, is that really a good thing? What would be stopping a teenager from going...
Glad my prediction was off!
To name the greatest living architect is like naming the greatest living baseball player. There will be one, 2 or 3 frontrunners, but a case can be made for dozens.

Rivalry ensues tonight.
I say Yanks take 3 of 4. Glad Mitre pitched yesterday- even more glad that the Yankees found a way to win.
Very sharp. Trump delivered a gem to Chicago. It doesn't stand out for a 1,100 foot tower, but that's ok.
^lol darlene isn't bad to wake up to.
^Its currently 50 stories tall.

The early-mid 90's were a gold mine for music. I'm too young to get nostalgic though.
The Minaya era is a disaster.
Thanks for sharing the renderings. Mind if I ask who you work for? Developer? Architect?
It's a great looking project and yes, very large. A good form of urban renewal.
Cities: Great job today, way to show up in support of it. We're all proud!
^From that press release I went onto the developer's website

Pesky flash, otherwise I'd post the images. But under portfolio --> pre-development projects...
Look at that topography! This might be it, I noticed it on Hugo Subotovsky's website not too long ago:
