This is really cool! 2 buildings higher than the ESB and they're all beautiful and tall. It does look like something out of East Asia, which is why I love it so much.

I thought it took more like ~3 months to dig a hole, then the other 9 to put the steel and concrete in. The hole doesn't really look much different than it did in April.

Maybe it's just me but they seem to be taking their sweet time on that foundation.

The name Freedom Tower is offensive in it self. Most people here probably agree with you.

5-700 does not bother me as much as the 'fat' aspect. We have too many fat buildings going up in NYC as is. I'd take a slender 700 foot tower over a grossly overweight 900 foot tower anyday.

Yea they did, which is why it's stupid to cancell/pospone the Freedom Tower if they don't get 40% (Which I'm not optomistic about)

Gee, If they were so worried about tenants maybe they shouldv'e waited till they had tenants till they started building it. If the Freedom Tower is 'reconsidered' that will be quite a negative sign...
