Did the structure on the original WTC actually broadcast signals, or was it also just a structure with antennas bolted on? Serious question since I don't know a whole lot about antennas.

Very good point. I always forget about that modernization even though John Hancock Center is one of my favorite skyscrapers.

I could maybe stand this base cladding if it stopped at the lobby, but the problem is that it is going to extend all the way up and cover the mechanical floors. It's going to look so silly.
