Lofter,
I could be wrong, but I don't think there are any plans filed for the new building.
Looking at the plumbing schedule that you referenced, the roof drains do correspond exactly to the...

TWO pencil-thin towers are making their mark on the East 20s.

I finally stopped down to see the sales office in SOHO last Saturday. The place was empty, save for the receptionist deeply engrossed in her personal telephone call.
A few minutes later, a tall,...
And given it's ELAD, it's probably out of frame entirely :)
They are supposed to be 10' -- although the math on the elevations makes that almost impossible. That said, we included a provision in our contract requiring a minimum 10' ceiling, and the developer...
The south side is mere backdrop for the Rem!
So just curious. If there are a number of real estate flippers, and if closings are expected to start in the next few months . . . should we be seeing more listings now? Or would they wait until...
A glass sheathed tower (with a less glassy twin) that set new sf price records for a neighborhood and gives incredible views. Charlie Trotter's stands in for Per Se here, the private gym is an...

Not on Madison . . . at least according to this (probably outdated) rendering.http://www.tropolism.com/gardentower3.jpg
Is from last year. So I think it accurately shows where the building ends.
Here's a rendering from 23rd street. You can see that the lovely Wendy's is preserved.
I'm not sure, but I believe the east part of the base is the "back door" to the residences. Guessing that...
Not around and over -- just next to. The east wall of 1 mad is the west wall of wendy's.
When the building is done, you will have to make sure that you have the right address for your restaurant...
It will extend to that empty lot just to the east . . . so we can all rest easy :)
At least the apocolypse is profitable.
They bought a full floor for about $5M. They're selling for about $7.6M. Heck, even if they only get $6M . . . it's not a bad neo-depression result. :)
or just Real Estate whores! :)

John McCain would definitely be something pre-war and grand, with a...
Actually, the elevator banks/stairwell/mechanicals take up much of the south wall. And there is no unit that only faces south. Even the 1/2 floor units face at least three directions...
Nope. The second tower was included in the plan. Not the design, obviously, but the fact that there would be a second tower.
If there is a surprise, it will be the height of the rem tower. I...
Two towers near each other is never great. But the current solution is really the best compromise.
If the towers were both simple straight towers, there would be no question that diagonal...
actually, it's almost perfectly diagonal. The east wall of the 1 mad tower runs straight back to the west property line on the 22nd street side.
The cantilever is over one of the most beautiful townhouses in the city (IMHO). Slazer couldn't buy it . . . Only it's air rights.
