Default Park?

Does anyone know what is going on in the park just west of Riverside Blvd? Mounds of dirt and bulldozers?

Default It's open

1) Upper West Side: Just in case the neighborhood surrounding Broadway and West 66th wanted for one more grocery option, a new Gourmet Garage opened up there yesterday. Organics. It's all about organics.

Pretty good selection and the prices are less than Balducci's. The layout is pretty much the same except the coffee/baked goods stand is gone (self service) and the prepared foods counter is in a different place. Otherwise, business as usual.

Construction Watch: The Aldyn Growing on UWS

Extell's latest immense Upper West Side development marches southward! At Riverside South—a plot of land at Riverside and the lower West 60s that already features new developments The Avery and The Rushmore—there's now about nine months of growth on the latest addition to this skyline-altering portfolio, The Aldyn. This 38-story condo tower, which will feature 279 units, sits next to The Rushmore. When Curbed operatives recently dropped by, construction workers were observed—yes!—glassing the place up. While there's still no website or juicy rumors, The Aldyn looks on track to open its doors in the first half of 2010. While we wait, anyone got final renderings of this project they want to kick our way?

Can anyone shed any light on why Miguel is resigning? What are these rumors he mentions in his letter?

Default New UWS Apple to open Nov 20

[The UWS Apple Store's glass roof and plaza revealed, via Racked]
1) UWS: For those who've been following the upcoming UWS Apple Store with excitement despite the lack of details, your faith is about to be rewarded! The store is probably going to open on November 20. But the security guards are already in place, so you can line up now.

Without the cachet of "starchitects" like Richard Meier and Jean Nouvel or the locations that buildings like 15 Central Park West or the Plaza Hotel can boast, these developers are turning to pop music muses to create buzz for their projects.

The article and the quote from whence it came is 3 years old! Give me a break? Notwithstanding the lack of cachet of "starchitects" like Richard Meier and Jean Nouvel or the location, the Avery SOLD OUT, thank you very much. Not everyone can or wants to pay 15 CPW prices, but all of us deserve the best that money can buy and that's the very essence of the Avery.

That ^ was my first impression, too. It's as if a new poster thought they had to post a number of times before they got a clearance. This Post in particular got me wondering, since it sounds like an entirely different person. If this ain't so then I offer apologies to our newbie.
