As some of you dont or do know the New York Public Libraries in all 5 boroughs are suffering from under-staffed, under funded, and lack of steady hours. The Libraries are open here on average of 38 hours per week, and some not even open more than 4 days a week. The Libraries are a place for all walks of life to learn, and read now even use the computers. We need to step up and say to our city council who controls this situation, and the Mayor's office to have these libraries in all boroughs open longer, and in many cities some libraries are open on average of 20 hours per week more than what we have on average for all the libraries.
I am sending this tomorrow to several libraries, and all I ask is to sign, spread the word, and do this for everyone as this affects all of us. This is not a gimmick, but I amlooking to make a difference for our future, and help give back the privilages we are being denied a place to read, and write that should be a necessary need in the ever chaning society thank you.
