Left 4 Dead uses Source engine. Geometry is primarily done with 'brushes'.

So this is nothing like using 3D Studio Max, Maya, Lightwave, etc. Brushes are very annoying and tedious to work with. It is 3D modeling minus 95% of the tools/modifies and other features that make it easier. It is just boxes with limited vertex manipulation and every piece of geometry has to be convex.. thus unused faces resulting, have to be textured with a 'nodraw' surface or 'skip' so that it is not rendered in-game.

Anyway, I'm using a lot of the same data STR was using for his model. Still having a lot of trouble gathering certain data, especially with the concourse. Have had to do a lot by eye so I've had to keep comparing my work and readjusting.
