    Great, STR ^^^

I gotta say it is this kind of information / imagination / hard work that makes WiredNewYork an invaluable resource.

I post most of this stuff on SSP a few minutes before I post here.

But yeah, still an awesome site.

That's the idea. Though I'm going to make the street level views 360x360's.

After looking at STR's first model of the Gehry Beekman tower: so much for Libeskind's "Wedge of Light" in the morning hours ... (looks like it'll be more along the lines of a "Wedge of Shadow")

    WTC complex

    Tower 4 gets some love.

Progress continues slowly on Tower 2.

Place holder for Tower 5. It's shown at 60 stories and some 800 feet tall.

To better relate the Trade Center to the surroundings, I will upgrade the existing blocks to a level near to the Trade Center buildings, but will not have anywhere near the complexity, to reduce rendering times. 1 Liberty is the first tower to be completed. Every building within a 1 block radius will be done in a similar manner. This includes Goldman Sachs and the entire World Financial Center.

The 3rd shot ^^^ showing the perspective from down below is scary good (although -- and I'll say it yet again -- it makes me very sad that the view of Woolworth won't be there) ...

4 WTC is looking good ... coming around the corner towards the Memorial from the east on Liberty and this whole place will just open right up ...

And great to see the site balanced out with a big one at 5 WTC.

I kinda wish that the hotel / movie theatre in BPC just to the west of GS HQ would get a nice slender tower up top (just to break up the mass of the GS). But fat chance ...

Yeah, that 3rd shot is phenomenal. Amazing work, STR. As for Towers 2 & 3, have you experimented with different coloration/shading at all yet? Because for now, they do look a little monotonous.

I'm starting to warm up to Tower 4.

Yeah, I have seen a few photos of a building near Woolworth. What's the stats on that one? Emporis link maybe?

They're supposed to all be the same color. It's part of the master plan, and that part conveniently fits in with economy of scale, so I don't see it being changed.

    I get a hard-on everytime I see STR's name on the update.

WTC 2 has a scheme where the glass starts out dark at the base and transitions to get lighter and lighter... if you didn't already know.

That thing is 10 Barclay St. (aka 6-12 Barclay) -- it has its own THREAD

    DOB says 58 stories / 584' Height

    Emporis says 56 stories / 584' Height

I guess you have to model it in (but if you could make it smaller so that the Woolworth can be seen from the Calatrava block we would all be grateful )
