Looks like a cheese grater fashionably missing some of its holes.

Great photos. This looks nice and will be particularly cool if, in fact, it has a slanted roof like 11 Times Sq. I hope that the facade is nice. If so, this will be a cool tower.

Just walked by...the slant is really apparent, and makes it look like it presides over much of the street. Can't wait to see the cladding on there.

Looks like an old IBM computer punch card.

    Scenes from Cassa's launch party

Architect Enrique Norten, developer Solly Assa and other luminaries turned out this week for the launch party for Cassa, a condo and boutique hotel at 70 West 45th Street. Architect Nancy Ruddy, co-principal of Cetra/Ruddy Architects and a designer of the project with Norten's firm, Ten Arquitectos, told The Real Deal in May that the building would be constructed economically. The project will include 57 residential units and 166 hotel rooms. Below are some photos from the party, held at 1140 Avenue of the Americas. Cassa's condominium units are now in pre-sales. TRD

In some renderings, it appears to have a slanted rood like 11 TSq. In the model, however, the roof looks flat. I hope that's not the case.

I ride my bike at night so I can see many projects in person. This one gives you the most unsettling feeling when you stand on 45th st. between the tower & the one to the north of it.
I have been looking at renderings of it and found one that had what looked to be an odd pediment lighted on top. I guess we just have to wait and see.

It has topped out now too. There's a flag flying on that bulkhead now. Quite unimpressive from that view. SInce it's 3 blocks north of 42nd St., that view makes it look shorter than it actually is. It's fairly impressive along 45th and 46th Street though.

By the way LL, they're about half way through demolishing the Milken building on Sixth and 40th and they've filed permits to demolish that corner building you mentioned earlier too.

    Thank you, Derek.

PS: Does the Cassa have a sloped roof like 11 Times Sq?

I only saw it topped out from the south side, so it was hard to tell.
I'll take a closer look from the east/west sides, but I doubt it.
