Many of you, like me, have probably noticed and wondered about BrooklynRider's recent absence from WNY. I learned yesterday that he was the pedestrian who was injured in a pedestrian/vehicle accident near his home on September 8th. His injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and he is now recovering from them but not yet able to use a computer. Through his partner, he has asked me to post this message, and I will be glad to pass on to them any public or private messages (PM me) that forum members may have.

Damn ... thanks for the info.

I wondered where his cutting jibes had gone to ...

    I've sent an email.

    But meanwhile ...

Hurry back, BR ... there's an election cycle coming up.

It won't be the same without you

Indeed. Wondered where he got to.

Very sorry to hear this. Misfortune seems to stalk this board in 2006.

His injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and he is now recovering...
Praise the lord, and let's pray for a speedy recovery!

    Get well fast, BR!!

I was apprehensive about ckicking this thread. Like the reprise of telegrams.

Relieved to hear that BR will be OK.

I've been wondering about Rob for a while now. I assumed he was burnt out. Come back soon.

I just logged on to this forum for the first time in a few months. I logged on specifically to send BrooklynRider a message. When I saw this thread I was scared to open it (my connection to WNY is JB and I didn't know what to expect). I am so sorry to hear that he was involved in an accident. I am glad to hear he is going to be ok.

So, here is wishing BR a big get well wish. I will send a PM through ManhattenKnight. Was there something in the paper about it? What happened?

I've been in touch via email -- BR is getting better but still not able to use the keyboard, so communication is via his better half for now.

He'll be glad to know that people are thinking about him ...

Perhaps we should post pics to entertain him?

Thinking BR might be in need of something to read ...

I hope that you're going to be up and about very soon, BrooklynRider. You've certainly been missed, and I'm wishing you the best.
