BRONX VS. QUEENS – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13th

Gotham Girls Roller Derby is throwing superstition to the wind - their next season game is set for Friday the 13th when the Bronx Gridlock will battle the Queens of Pain at Hunter College's Athletic Center. Grab your lucky rabbit's foot - this game is gonna be fierce.

All four teams in GGRD are currently even with one win and one loss, so this game will decide who goes to the Championship. Ultimate bragging rights are on the line for this one, so you can be sure that Bronx will watch for black cats in the crosswalk and Queens will be tossing salt over their shoulder before they rub it in anyone's wounds. Plus, DJ Neil McCoy's tunes will help keep lady luck around.

Please note: the league will crash at a new location this time - Hunter College Athletic Center (68th Street and Lexington) in Manhattan. Seating is very limited, so eager fans should get their tickets early. All 2006 games have sold out in advance and this game will be no exception. Tickets ($12.50) can be purchased online at www.gothamgirlsrollerderby.com or in person at Live Fast on Delancy between Stanton and Rivington. VIP seats also available.

Another tidbit to keep in mind: Hunter is very serious about security and wants to keep everyone safe for the evening. Please leave all lucky horseshoes, pocket knives, large ladders, firewater, bulky amulets and leprechauns at home. Metal detectors will be on scene - no joke!

They are part of the NJ Dirty Dames
