ULTIMATE RIVALRY: SEMI-FINAL ROLLER DERBY GAME: BROOKLYN VS. MANHATTAN

Manhattan, NY – October 17, 2006 – Gotham Girls Roller Derby (GGRD) will throw down the hottest bout yet, pitting the Brooklyn Bombshells vs. Manhattan Mayhem in the second game of their SEMI-FINALS on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD at 2006 at Hunter College.

GGRD currently lacks a permanent venue for games and practices since their previous home closed in March of this year. However, New York’s only all-girl Roller Derby league is crashing the athletic center at Hunter College for one night to determine who will go up against the Queens of Pain in the 2006 GGRD Championships in mid-November. These two teams have not seen each other since the semi-finals of 2005 and these girls are out for blood.

All previous 2006 GGRD games have sold out, so derby fans (old and new) will rush www.brownpapertickets.com to get their track-side seat for this mother of all New York rivalries. Also, Hunter is serious about security at the door - get there early to get a good seat. The arena is alcohol free.
